If you haven’t heard of El Capitxn, you’ve definitely heard his music. The powerhouse songwriter and producer has crafted standout tracks for global acts like BTS, IU, TXT, NCT, and PSY. A former member of the K-pop group HISTORY, EL CAPITXN launched his solo career last year with his debut world tour, Who Killed El? Leaning into a darker, alternative aesthetic, EL CAPITXN’s sound is haunting yet euphoric, creating an immersive contrast that comes alive onstage.
After touring across Asia, he kicked off the North American leg of his tour at the El Rey Theatre on March 3. Fans were treated to a dynamic set featuring original tracks and remixes of his biggest hits, along with special appearances from his production team VENDORS. The night also included high-energy performances by Sophie Powers, Jasiah, Outlaw the Artist, and Rence, adding even more momentum to the evening.
The intimate venue amplified the intensity of the show, building anticipation for an emotional final ment. EL CAPITXN opened up about losing his voice and and having to take a step back from singing for an extended period. Despite the setback, he shared how transforming his pain into music has allowed him to keep pursuing his dream of performing on stage.
